lunar/deep-space computestartupprivateseed
Lonestar builds small data storage and edge-processing payloads designed to sit on or orbit the Moon, powered by solar landers and passively cooled, sold as sovereign backup and disaster recovery rather than GPU compute. It has flown two proof-of-concept payloads on Intuitive Machines lunar landers, in February 2024 and February 2025, storing and retrieving data from cislunar space and the lunar surface. A standalone facility at the Lunar L1 point is planned for later this decade but does not exist.
Ecosystem functionThe only company to have stored and retrieved customer data from the Moon, staking out lunar resiliency-as-a-service well before anyone needs it.
