Aetherflux
Aetherflux, founded by Robinhood co-founder Baiju Bhatt, builds satellites that collect solar power in low Earth orbit and beam it to Earth by infrared laser rather than microwave, targeting military and off-grid customers. In December 2025 it added Galactic Brain, a plan to use the same solar infrastructure to run GPU compute in orbit. It has raised roughly $60M including DoD funding and built a demonstration satellite on an Apex bus, but has not yet beamed power from orbit; that demo and the first compute node are both targeted for 2026 into 2027.
Ecosystem functionComes at frontier compute from the energy side rather than the silicon side, and is the only company treating orbital power as a product it could sell to everyone else in this category.
